Due to several server issues with our hosting company Dreamhost, we have moved the GAME only over to jedimud.net or 132.148.86.77
We did this because a hardware failure on dreamhost cloud services took down the server. They could not repair it so they migrated us to another disk Volume. This volume was snail slow causing severe lag. After hours of testing, and working with no support from the hosting service we made the decision to move.
It was not that we could not blow away the game and put another cloud server up, it was that the service was so bad, what would we do in the future? What happens if we went through this again and they migrated and we had terrible performance again.
We moved the server to Godaddy and ordered a VPS from them. We also ordered another domain "jedimud.net" so that we did not have to impact the current email and website services.
Eventually we will make some decisions on how to handle jedimud.com, right now we have it servicing the website and email. We could blow away the server, make jedimud.com website over to jedimud.net and host email through dreamhost.
There are quite a few decision ahead for the admin, but for now, the game will stay on on its current platform for the foreseeable future.
