Another idea for quest points... X amount of quest tokens gets you 100 years added to age or maybe set age to 175. Yes, I know the people on are old fossils and don't really need this. But its nice to have in place if we get newbies or for people coming back after deleting/kleen/or other to give them incentive.

That is a good idea. I hope you used the 'idea' command as well as this board?

Actually being able to spend one quest point at a time would not be a bad idea. 1 Quest Point could equal 1 year or 5 years.

I had another idea. I'd really like to be able to buy DT insurance for items with quest points. Cost could be 1-5 points per item. If you DT that item, you get it back, once, then the insurance is gone.

I hate DTs, but they are there to keep the economy moving forward. If someone dt's, suddenly there is a demand for equipment, and all the gold / eq exchange hands.
If insurance is only 1-5 qps, everyone and their dog will be insuring their equipment. I'd argue that the cost for insurance should be relative to the item being insured (a loadable item, a quest item, an artifact).
Insurance may not be able to cover artifacts.
With higher cost, few but powerful items would get insured, limited the amount of demand for administrators to create equipment.
That's my take on it anyhow

Eniac has it on his 'to do list' (which is LONG) to actually log what is purged in every DT. I have no idea when that will happen. That would have to happen before we even thought of doing "dt insurance" on any given item.
