Hello all,
I am seriously considering updating Sanctuary, and fixing the nit-picky items that didn't get fixed the first time around. Subject to approval of the powers that be, of course.
I am, most decidedly, NOT talking about a major revision of the zone itself. I am talking about more accurate descriptions on some of the named mobs, fixing a few exits, updating procs, and item stats, adding items to named mobs which currently load nothing, etc.
I am excited to see that it is now possible to make the mobs speak. I had some misgivings about the anachronistic nature of Cappen Varra's song, until I saw that it was a tribute to Doc. So, no problem there.
My current to-do list:
1. More accurate descriptions on Lythande, Dubro, and Samlor.
2. Fix Aphrodisia House main door so it can be closed from inside.
3. It is Illyra, not Illyena.
4. Fix the Serpentine's south exit.
5. Close One-thumbs safe.
6. Make plaques in the Hall of Justice readable.
7. Update procs on most named mobs.
8. Update and/or create new items loading on named mobs.
9. Return the streetwalkers to the Promise.
10. Confine dockworkers to the docks and Wideway.
11. Add a few more of the local gentry. (i.e. named mobs from the 1st 3 anthologies)
12. Add the northern route from Red Lanterns to Temple Ave.
13. Fix the exits on the northernmost temple. (forgot the goddess' name atm)
Please, if there is anything you have noticed over the years that may need changing, not mentioned above, please outline it below.
I also intend to add the Dungeon to the current zonefile, and add Eagle's Nest, and possibly the Purple Mage's island as new zones.
Updates:
14. Urchins
15. Make basic services available. Food, general store, weapon, magic, etc. More hometown-ish. Within the Thieve's World milieu, of course.
16. House of Whips, House of Mermaids
17. Make the Heqt's Temple/Dyareela's Temple complex more in line with the books. No, the Demi-lich isn't going anywhere. ;-)
18. Move Melilot's Scriptorium to the west side, where it should be.
